In this role, Patel will oversee the acceleration of Tynker’s revenue and growth, leading all activities related to customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization. BYJU’S acquired Tynker, the leading K-12 creative coding platform, last September as part of its U.S. expansion.
Patel is an expert in scaling growth for startups, with more than 20 years of experience in marketing and technology. With his proven track record, he will fuel even greater growth in the consumer and school markets for Tynker. He is also the author of the recently published book Lean AI which guides startups on successfully scaling customer acquisition and revenue growth with artificial intelligence and automation combined with a lean team.
“Lomit’s track record of innovation, creativity, and success makes him the ideal person to join Tynker as our new chief growth officer,” said Srinivas Mandyam, Tynker CEO. “Tynker’s coding curriculum is transforming how students around the world learn, honing their critical thinking, problem-solving, and programming skills to help them be successful today and tomorrow.”
Patel joins Tynker from Together Labs, a social networking company that innovates technologies empowering people to connect, create and earn in the metaverse, where he served as senior vice president of growth and a key member of the executive team. Prior to Together Labs, Patel held senior marketing roles at Roku, TrustedID, and Texture. He will report to Tynker CEO Srinivas Mandyam.
“The need for coding as a language is only growing, and I am thrilled to be joining a company as respected as Tynker, a pioneer in edtech learning,” Patel said. “Tynker's unique approach to addressing the coding skills gap makes the company’s prospects for growth unstoppable in our mission to shape kids as lifelong learners.”
